I
have not made the model for this design; therefore, do not have a
specific working gauge.
However, I tend to use Size 20 Crochet Cotton with a #10 Steel
Hook producing a gauge of
15 sts/5 rows = 1". Therefore, this piece worked as
shown with this gauge would = an overall
size of approx. 16" x 7". It can be worked in
many weights of Crochet Cotton. I have given
the most popular hook size in the Materials below. Also,
the alphabet is included for those
who'd like this as a Name Lace. For those of you who
enjoy a challenge, try using popcorn stitch
for the lettering. Try your hand at it and let me know

3. Popcorn = 5 dc in designated st/sp,
remove hook from lp & insert in top of 1st dc, pull lp through dc
& form popcorn w/"bump" on R.S. of work; ch 1

INSTRUCTIONS:
Row 1: R.S. Ch 243. Dc in 4th ch
from hook and in each ch across. Turn.
Row 2: Starting Bl over Bl, *ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next
dc, repeat from * to last 3 dc, dc in last 3 dc.
Turn.
Rows 3-36: Follow graph utilizing TECHNIQUE. End
